Andrea has been a professional dancer, teacher, director, and choreographer for over 30 years. She first trained on full scholarship at the school of Oregon Ballet Theatre and New York’s Joffrey Ballet. She danced with the professional company of Oregon Ballet Theatre in the late 80s and early 90s. She spent many years teaching in the Portland/Vancouver area, teaching dancers of all ages and levels in classical ballet technique at multiple studios and in the Portland Public Schools. She has been the Artistic Director of Beaverton Dance Center and Northwest Classical Ballet where she has choreographed and staged the Nutcracker and other classical ballets as well as original works. Andrea also became a registered nurse in 2009 and has worked in hospitals and schools of nursing in Portland and Vancouver. Andrea and her family moved to Roseburg in June of 2021. She has been working at Mercy Medical Center as a nurse in labor and delivery and is currently working on her PhD dissertation. She is very excited to bring her love of ballet to Roseburg and pass down her knowledge.
